Ivy Tech Community College – Marion, Indiana campus and Indiana Wesleyan University are proud to announce their partnership aimed at streamlining the process of earning a bachelor’s degree. This collaboration offers students a 15% discount on a bachelor’s degree and reduces the number of credits needed at Indiana Wesleyan University by completing certain classes at Ivy Tech.
Through this partnership, students will begin their academic journey at Ivy Tech - Marion, where they will complete their associate degree. Credits earned during the associate degree program will seamlessly transfer to Indiana Wesleyan University online, allowing students to earn a bachelor’s degree with a 15% savings.
By combining the strengths and resources of both institutions, Ivy Tech and Indiana Wesleyan University aim to make higher education more accessible and attainable for students in the Marion, Indiana area.
Currently, the following bachelor programs at IWU are included:
- Accounting
- Business Administration
- Management
- Management with Human Resource specialization
- Business Administration with Human Resource specialization
- Global Security and Strategic Management
- Information Technology
- Cyber Security with Cyber Analyst
- Health Sciences
In some cases, Ivy Tech students can reduce the number of credits at IWU by as many as 15, when those credits are taken at Ivy Tech.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, earning a bachelor’s degree can significantly increase income potential. Those who hold a bachelor’s degree earn $17,000 more than those with only an associate degree. One of the primary concerns for earning a bachelor’s degree is the cost. With the Ivy Tech Marion - Indiana Wesleyan University partnership, the cost is 15% lower and, in some cases, even lower.
